What is a TOPSoccer Buddy ?

A TOPSoccer Buddy plays our most important role on the team, next to the athletes of course.

TOPSoccer Buddies are volunteers, typically high school students or anyone who shares the love of soccer.

Our TOPSoccer Buddies are paired up one-on-one with an athlete for the entire season. They will assist athletes where necessary which sometimes may consist of physical help, positive encouragement and having FUN!

In addition, the hours our TOPSoccer Buddies volunteer qualifies for Florida Bright Futures Scholarships and IB Program C.A. S. hours.

What is TOPSoccer ?

US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program, organized by local volunteers, for young athletes with disabilities.

TOPSoccer is a FREE soccer program for physically, mentally, and/or developmentally disabled athletes.

TOPSoccer is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, aged 4 thru 21, who have a disability.

Athlete's disabilities may include but are not limited to Down Syndrome, Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, as well as those who are in wheelchairs or have other varying physical limitations and handicaps.

How can I help ?

Athletes and Buddies needed !!

Parents are encouraged to recruit both Athletes and Buddies to join the Florida West Football Club TOPSoccer Programs

We are always looking for families whose children might benefit from our program. The more athletes we can reach the better!

In addition to Athletes, we are always looking for Buddies! We expect Buddies to commit to be available the entire six week season. No soccer experience is needed.
